PACO RABANNE

Paco Rabanne (pseudonym of Francisco Rabaneda Cuervo) after leaving Spain to Paris, started his career in fashion by creating jewelry for Givenchy, Dior, and Balenciaga. In 1966 he founded his own fashion house. He used unconventional material such as metal, paper, and plastic. Coco Chanel called him fashion metallurgist. Rabanne's approach to the fashion world has been unique and revolutionary both in form and in materials. For his outlandish and flamboyant illustrations, Paco Rabanne can be considered an all-round artist. From 2013 the new creative director Julien Dossena follows the historical Maison's work.
