lvatore Ferragamo moved to the USA in 1919 where he opened his first made-to-measure footwear workshop, and quickly attracted the Hollywood stars of the era. Upon his return to Italy in 1927, he founded his namesake label, creating hand-made flawless shoes of premium quality that are still considered to be of the highest standard in Italian craftsmanship today.
